The CHBC is under establishment in Shanghai aiming to be compatible with the international birth cohorts. 250 mother-child pairs in Shanghai will be included and blood from mother and capillary blood from day 3 after birth will be collected. A follow-up of the growth and development of the child will be done at 6 and 12 month.

Professor and director Jun Jim Zhang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Shanghai, China) is now associated to Fetotox as a joint principal investigator of Substudy 3. Jun Jim Zhang will collect blood samples and interviews from 250 pregnant women in the Shanghai area including follow-up with the children after 6 and 12 months.
