Interaction between mother-fetus exposure to environmental toxicants and risk for abnormal development

Organization and management of the FETOTOX project:

An organizational structure ensuring efficient management of all parts of the project is established to secure implementation of all prominent skills in epidemiology, molecular/mechanistic and chemical knowledge.

Professor Eva C. Bonefeld-Jørgensen is the overall project coordinator of the FETOTOX consortium with support from the executive committee and the board. The project coordinator Eva C. Bonefeld-Jørgensen and the scientific secretary Manhai Long are responsible for the daily management as well as communication between the partners.

The board consists of professor, director Eva C. Bonefeld-Jørgensen, professor Tine Brink Henriksen, professor Jørn Olsen and professor Jon Øyvind Odland and is in charge of Substudies 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The executive committee consists of professor, director Eva C. Bonefeld-Jørgensen, professor Tine Brink Henriksen and professor Jørn Olsen. The Executive Committee has the decision-making authority of Substudies 1, 2 and 4.

Each substudy has a responsible lead scientist shown in bold in the diagram.

Subcontractors, senior scientist Rossana Bossi and senior scientist Gert Asmund, will be responsible for determinations of PFCs, metals and trace elements, respectively.

Subcontractor Professor Beate Ritz and collaborator Chunyuan Fei, will give guidance and active feedback in Substudy 4.
